Today I have the privilege (drat! I never spell that word right the first time!) of guest blogging on Gina Conroy's Writer ... Interrupted.
I spoke about 5 Things I wish I knew as a teen writer. Also, I shared a picture of me in a very dorky hat. So, go for the wisdom or go to poke fun at my hat - you can't lose.
I choose going for the "Wisdom" and I wasn't sorry! Thanks for the advice, Stephanie! =)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sarah :)
DeleteAnd I wore it with everything, Sierra. EVERYTHING. Oy.
ReplyDeleteThe hat isn't THAT bad... it fits with the entire nineties child theme.
ReplyDeleteAs for the overalls, I think I might have a phobia, (coming from years of wearing hand-me-down 90's overalls into the late 2000's).
Thanks for the insight and the blog overall. I wish you had this back in high school so you could see how helpful it is to teen writers everywhere. Try googling "teen writers", Go Teen Writers is on the front page, fifth hit!
Caroline
SWEET. Thanks for pointing that out to me, Caroline!
DeleteAnd for defending my hat and overalls. Sniff, sniff. My fashion idol at the time was Claudia from the Babysitters Club Books. Which were probably already out-of-date in a fashion sense...
Hah! Steph, that stuff is totally in now. (I hope.) And I am totally convinced I am Claudia when I wear it. (My hat, that is.) My friend and I both wore our hats to school one day, and what can I say? They were a huge hit. Take my advice -- get the hat back.;)
Delete(But then, you ARE the published author. I have no published works as of yet so your advice may be slightly more justifiable...:D)
I think by now BSC fashions are probably back in :) And I see tons of cute hats at Target, but I don't think I'm cool enough to pull them off. (And my credentials as a published author hardly qualify me for fashion advice!)
DeleteLoved the Babysitters Club series! :)
DeleteAnd also for some crazy reason, your "credentials" comment made me laugh out loud. ;)
DeleteActually I liked the hat photo. A lot. :]
ReplyDeleteThank you, Emily :)
