I have been reading a lot lately (I've finsihed 6 books within two weeks) and they're all so GREAT. Definitely doesn't help my already low self esteem about my writing! I need to take this advice and try to read a book without editing it or being 'woe is me'! Thank you Mrs. Morrill! (Ps I used to be on this website all the time forever ago. I'm sadly in a stage where I don't read for fun as much as I used to--but I've also decided that reading for an hour and a half to my kids every day still counts. Because we're reading some fabulous classics in school that are teaching me a lot. And by "not as much as I used to" I mean only a few books a month rather than one a week. Still respectable, LOL.

But writing a lot--YES. I wrote during college much like you did in that "alone" stage. Just for me, whatever I wanted, no one looking over my shoulder. I tried different genres, I explored my writing loves, and I emerged with a voice too. =)Roseanna Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02245767775900250399noreply@blogger.com
