But it is based on familiar places: a dense pine forest, rocky mountains, and hot, windy plains. There's a pine forest down the road from where I live, and I have visited the Rocky Mountains and seen a small part of the Great Plains. I would probably like best to visit the mountains again. <br /><><Aeminoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024721400572472213.post-52598996344887893412011-10-18T20:11:13.470-05:002011-10-18T20:11:13.470-05:00Jazmine,

(I thin...DYFS is the Department of family services. (I think that is what the letters stand for.) It is a state run program that protects kids from bad environments. It is the foster system. They help teach parents who have no idea what to do and have no one supporting them like family of friends, and they help put kids in a home where they can live better lives. My story focuses around a girl who was pulled from her mother and placed in a Christian foster home. They make a huge imprint on her life and show her what is really important in life. The system changes for every state in the US, and because I am currently a foster sister to three wonderful kids I have the privilege to get a first hand experience on how the system works. Though sometimes the stories I hear make me cry, I am glad that there are families out there willing to help these kids.Alyson Schrollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10985230257033740736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024721400572472213.post-45897242206279967722011-10-14T11:47:04.950-05:002011-10-14T11:47:04.950-05:00Oh, yeah, and I'm also thinking of writing a b...Oh, yeah, and I'm also thinking of writing a book about the Chincoteague ponies, just so I can do a research trip to the pony swim at Assateague ;).Becki Badgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14421459879883678878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024721400572472213.post-36794448494947885162011-10-14T11:35:06.260-05:002011-10-14T11:35:06.260-05:00Gorgeous picture!
