And The Lightkeeper's Ball by the same woman)

Cornelia Funke is also an excellent author. She paints great pictures in her stories, though she is a fantasy author. I recommend "The Inkheart Trilogy" though, her best work yet. :) Oh, and "Reckless".

Narnia is also an incredible book series too.

Terri Farley is another great one, she's the author of The Phantom Stallion series and some other horsey type books. :)Jazmine~https://www.blogger.com/profile/06246960020080246030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024721400572472213.post-45056774608968015222011-09-22T22:44:21.040-05:002011-09-22T22:44:21.040-05:00I reread The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and The...I reread The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia at least once every two years. Hands down some of my absolute favorites.

Also, I love the Tommy and Tuppence mysteries by Agatha Christie. They are definitely lighter than most of AC's, but no less intriguing, in fact they are some of her most intriguing of hers I've read. The first one is The Secret Adversary, then Partners in Crime, N or M?, By the Pricking of My Thumbs, and Postern of Fate. They are some of the most fun and suspense filled mysteries I've read.Tiffanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06788494874294731276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024721400572472213.post-40181332461757974592011-09-22T22:37:57.235-05:002011-09-22T22:37:57.235-05:00Yikes! His are thrillers, so you pretty much HAVE keep reading. I wrote down evey recommendation everyone has said so for, THANK YOU ALL! I have lists upon lists of books I want to read and constantly add to it daily :) I am obsessed with the fabulous Sherlock Holmes novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I've read every Sherlock Holmes novel and short story at least three times. I also adore the books and graphic novels of Neil Gaiman. Neil Gaiman's book of short stories, Fragile Things, is probablly my favorite book I've read so far this year :)I'm off to the National Book Festival tomorrow in Washington DC! My list of books to read will triple in size after this weekend, oh boy.Annanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024721400572472213.post-10440571913387080502011-09-22T20:12:45.379-05:002011-09-22T20:12:45.379-05:00Oh! Another great author is Kristen Heiztman, though her books tend to be much more dark and intense. Her characters are phenomenal though, and her story plots are so well done. Once and awhile I'll reread one of her books, and then have to force myself not to feel depressed, because my dream of writing that well seems so far away. ;)

I read a book called "Tour de Force", by Elizabeth White. I've read another book of hers and didn't enjoy it much, so I was very hesitant to read this book, but I love dancing, so I had to read it. I was so glad I did. It really was quite good. Her characters were well done, and I liked the setting, the pace, the dialogue. A nice book to get lost in for a couple hours. :)Clarebearhttp://www.unitedinhislove.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024721400572472213.post-43960160023355989562011-09-22T14:48:34.100-05:002011-09-22T14:48:34.100-05:00The Charity's Dairy series by Elisabeth Allen ...The Charity's Dairy series by Elisabeth Allen (http://www.elishevapublishing.co.uk/charity.php) I have read so many good books this year though, including one by a dear friend of mine that in not available to buy yet.Sarah Holmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11904631370384156831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024721400572472213.post-52608511651877693792011-09-22T14:31:49.472-05:002011-09-22T14:31:49.472-05:00I'm in the middle of Jenny b Jones' "...I'm in the middle of Jenny b Jones' "there you'll find" it's been so refreshing. Also, I very much want to read the series Rachelle mentioned.

The most recent book that gave me that sort of emotion(because really, it's more of a specific emotion than a string of thoughts in my case - I call it the 'I Wish I Wrote This' feeling) was Howl's Moving Castle. by Diana Wynne Jones. Great movie, greater book, and just absolutely beautiful and hilarious all at once. Bergren. SO WORTH IT!! I won Waterfall and I'm so glad I did, because I never would have bought it (I read the first page online and thought it kooky). I was totally wrong, so glad I won it, and as soon as I finished it, I pre-ordered the others. Usually I'm almost asleep when I come home from work but the day Torrent came I was squealing and freaking my poor puppy out!! :)

Seriously, READ those books!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06150136011032761640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024721400572472213.post-57394274592678161322011-09-22T12:40:14.733-05:002011-09-22T12:40:14.733-05:00I'm reading the Hunger Games - my newest obses...I'm reading the Hunger Games - my newest obsession. I loved the first book and the second one wasn't bad either. The third is good but it is SOO depressing. I think it gives a good picture of how it really feels to have killed a person though.
