Jill Williamson is a chocolate loving, daydreaming, creator of kingdoms. She writes weird books for teens in lots of weird genres like, fantasy (Blood of Kings trilogy), science fiction (Replication), and dystopian (The Safe Lands trilogy). Find Jill on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or on her author website.
As per the growing tradition, I'll be hosting a launch party tomorrow night on Facebook for the release of Rebels. I know that many of you aren't on Facebook, and I'm sorry about that. I tried to install a chat plugin to my website for the Outcasts launch, and it nearly killed my website.
The whole thing was pretty stressful.
So I'm back to the standard Facebook Launch Party. Here are the details:
When? Tomorrow night, Friday, September 12, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
Where? On the Facebook party page. Click this link to join the fun: https://www.facebook.com/events/573442009434822
Who? Hosted by me and my humorous husband Brad (who just started a pop culture blog that he is SO EXCITED about. If you like pop culture, go follow him. He'll be thrilled.)
Any questions?
Do I have to be there the whole time? Nope. Come for all of it, part of it, or pop in and out as you can.
Are there prizes? Yes! I am giving away ten Safe Lands trilogy sets to five winners. Say what? Five people win two sets of books? Yeah, that's right. Here's the catch. This is a WIN AND SHARE giveaway, so if you win, you must promise to give the second set of books to someone who has never read any of my books. Someone you think would like them. I'll also be giving away SWAG PACKS made up of buttons and bookmarks that are leftovers from Salt Lake Comic Con. International people are welcome to enter, but if you win the books, I won't be able to autograph them. They will be mailed from The Book Depository.
How do we enter? You show up and leave a comment on the ENTER THE CONTEST: BOOKS or ENTER THE CONTEST: SWAG posts. There will be two separate posts.
Just for fun, if you won two copies of the Safe Lands trilogy, who would you give the second set to? Let me know in the comments.
Hope to see you all there!
Most of my friends are really conservative, so I'll probably give it to one of my more distant friends who like Hunger Games. I'll tell them that this is like Hunger Games, but Christian.
ReplyDeleteGood idea, Michaella!
DeleteI would give the set away to my friend who started her first year teaching high school this month. I have been telling her about your books every since I started reading them, but so far I haven't been able to share any with her because she doesn't have a kindle and I only have the kindle versions. I would love to give her a set so she could read them, and then tell all her students about them! She also happens to love dystopian books! :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, good idea, Tricia! I hope she's enjoying her new job!
DeleteI think my likeliest candidate is a friend who has been having some rough times lately, and maybe some good books will be a nice cheer-up after a very sad weekend.
ReplyDeleteAww, I'm sorry she's struggling. A good book is one of my favorite ways to escape when I'm feeling sad.
DeleteUnfortunately, I don't have Facebook, so I won't be able to come. I hope ya'll have a great time though!!

I would probably send the set to my friend in MI. I got her to read Robert Treskillard's series and I hope to make her read other authors as well. Other wise I would give them to my brother.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the release! I can't wait to read it.
ReplyDeletewalking in the air.
Such a shame it is like 3 in the morning for me when the party starts, but I'm sure you'll all have a blast, and already congratulations on the release Jill!
ReplyDeleteJust wondering, like last time, will the giveaways also be hosted on your blog? Or just Facebook?
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's SO SUPER EXCITING about Rebels!!!! :D
Hooray! I am so excited!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the release! I'm not allowed on Facebook, but I hope everyone who "attends" the party has fun! I haven't read the Safe Lands trilogy, but I'd love to give it a try someday.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I'm not sure if His Princess will see this, but a while back we were having a discussion about submitting work to magazines. I remember HP got a positive reply while I was still waiting. Well, I just got a positive reply from the editor! It's my first acceptance! It makes me feel a little bit better in the midst of realizing that high school is going to be a lot tougher than middle school was.
DeleteOff topic, but I have a question: I will be gone next week, and that's when the 100 for 100 challenge is. I might be able to make time to write, but I might not. Could this be my grace week? And I think my sign-up thing went through, but I'm not sure. Could you see? (I'm signed up as Emily B.) Thanks!
