Congratulations to our Summer Challenge winners!

Congratulations to Lil, Victoria, and Andrea who worked hard on the summer challenge and earned themselves a prize! 

Several of you have emailed to ask if we're doing any writing challenges this fall like we have previous years, like the 100-for-100. The short answer is no. The longer answer is that I'm having a baby sometime within the next few weeks (yikes!) so I'm not able to commit to hosting a challenge like that.

If you're curious, I'll be gone for a lot of October and part of November, but we have some wonderful guests lined up to post in my place so I'm guessing you won't even miss me. This also means that I'll be extremely slow on email, so if you send me writing questions and don't hear from me for a while, it's because I'm feeding a baby every 3 hours and who knows what kind of delirious response you might get if I attempted to advise you.

But I anticipate being here for the next few weeks talking about first drafts, so you're not rid of me quite yet!
