We are super proud of these writers for finishing the 100 words for 100 days writing challenge!

Justine Morris
Melissa Gravitis
Rebekah Gyger
Emily G
Crystal
Cameron E.
Tracey Dyck
Ash Scott
Kat Stulpin
Taylor Marshall
Faith Potts
Lydia C.
Savannah Perran
Ruth Ellen
Lydia DeGisi
Lydia Harrison
Sarah Taleweaver

These writers wrote at least 100 words a day every day for 100 days, and many of them wrote even more than that!

The writers who wrote the most during the challenge were:

Melissa Gravitas: 92,012 words
Ash Scott: 73,492
Savannah Perran: 70,391

Amazing! For being in our top three, these writers earned their choice of a 1,000 word critique or a 20 minute Google Hangout session to talk over writerly things.

Three other finishers won their choice of several books, and the winners were Lydia Harrison, Kat Stulpin, and Tracey Dyck. Congratulations!

If you're curious about what it's like to do the challenge, Tracey Dyck wrote a summary of her experience, and it's a really interesting read about persevering. Thanks, Tracey!

    1. Stephanie, do you want me to email you a document with my 1,000 words?

  6. Yay! I'm so glad I was able to finish. It was getting kind of tough toward the end there, and I am truly amazed to see the word counts of those who got more than I did. That is so awesome!!

  7. I wrote at least 100 words everyday, and I totally failed last time I tried that. XD (It was awful.)

Congratulations to everyone else who survived!

    1. That was me too. I had a lot of steam going in but toward the end those words didn't want to flow.

  9. Hello, I have a question for the writing contest. Even though this isn't probably the right place to be asking this, I cannot find any contact info and I want to make sure my question gets answered. If for some reason, my file I've submitted doesn't work, will you send me a message saying so? Thank you,
    Emma

    1. Yes, we will! That's one reason why we need everyone to make sure they're entering the right email address!

  10. I feel like this is a really short list compared to other years . . . still, I'm very proud to have made it in there! Congrats to the others who completed it (and double congrats to those who won something)!

    1. I thought that as well. I wonder if it was because fewer people participated or because fewer simply didn't finish?

    2. Yeah, I noticed that, too. I hope it's not indicative of less activity on GTW in general.

    3. I was surprised too! We had over a hundred participants, which isn't as many as the very first time we did the challenge, but I don't think that's too far off from the last couple times. It's possible that there are people who have already tried the challenge and know it isn't for them, so they aren't doing it anymore? I don't know.

    4. For me, I joined but life got so crazy I just had no hope of finishing. I used my week off within the first month and it went downhill from there.

  11. Apparently, us Lydias are gifted at consistent writing, heh.

Thank you so much for running these 100 for 100 contests! I've been participating in them from the start, and frankly, if they didn't exist I may have ended up quitting writing long ago!

  13. Congratulations, everyone! Hopefully I will be on the list next time. I was a bit too busy this summer.
